Patagonia R1 Yulex™ Impact Short John Suit

They’re called waves of consequence for a reason. Developed in collaboration with Patagonia surf ambassadors Kohl Christensen and Ramon Navarro, the new R1® Impact suit provides purpose-built body protection for increased safety at the heaviest and most hazardous slabs. Suitable for all temperatures and made from high-quality free-neoprene wetsuit that meets our rigorous standards for strength, durability and stretch, the vest can be by worn by itself in warm water or under a full suit in cooler conditions. Worn alone or under a wetsuit, the neoprene-free Yulex™ Impact Short John is made from 85% natural rubber/15% synthetic rubber by polymer content, with a high-stretch 100% recycled polyester lining and flexible 25mm foam panels for supplemental flotation and protection in heavy surf; the natural rubber is derived from sources that are Forest Stewardship Council® certified by the Rainforest Alliance. Made in a Fair Trade Certified™ facility.
